Welcome back our second entry for Feature Friday! This week we will explore industrial plant models using 3D printing. It is a very valuable service we offer here, at Dimension Alley, to large manufacturing companies looking to give examples of possible equipment.
Our featured item for the industrial plant modeling, is a water sanitation prototype. Our product developer, Pelgrim Vandekerkhove completed this project in about two or three weeks. He printed the project in pieces and then later assembled the parts. To insure they fit properly, he designed multiple connection points, which was loosely based off the “interface fit.” However, in this instance the pieces needed an additional fastener; glue.
I think this is a great tool we can provide to companies trying to show and test what their finished product could really look like.” Says Gregor, Sales Representative at Sharebot
In addition, industrial plant models are not the only things we can offer to the prototyping world of 3D printing. The possibilities can be endless with agricultural, architectural, automotive, educational, or even aerospace models.
