Full Day Workshops:
from Zero to Maker

Have you ever thought up a brilliant product that no-one has made but were put off by the costs of designing and manufacturing it? Then this is the course for you. Experience the strength of 3D printing, and we show you how to go from idea to manufactured product in just 1 day.

This full-day course is based on a real-life example and will guide you through the steps from product brief to design, review, prototype print, test, improvement and final production.

At the same time you will get hands-on experience of 3D printing and an introduction to tools for modelling and preparing for print. Modelling will be done using 123D design, a user friendly, simple software tool which does not require previous CAD experience. Basic computer knowledge is a prerequisite.

Please contact us for registration Details of the next course. Lunch and beverages are provided in the course fee.

Private Introductory Workshop
49€ per person

Dimension Alley runs 120 minute introductions to 3D printing for small groups and individuals on a daily basis.

Depending on your previous experience, we will briefly take you through the background to 3D printing, how it works and some of the applications of 3D printing today and in the future. This format includes designing your first object in a CAD package, for which you’ll get plenty of guidance, and then printing out your final design in a colour of your choice.

We can schedule your workshops during our opening hours at a time that suits you so contact us for your appointment.

Intermediate Workshops

Similarly to our Introduction to 3D Printing workshops, these sessions usually last 90 minutes, and can be tailored to suit the needs of the group. So if you already know something about 3D printing and using design software, or have previously taken an introduction workshop, this would be perfect for you.

Some of the things we are able to offer during one of these intermediate workshops is learning how to create more complex models using CAD, or specific applications of 3D printing.

Childrens’ Workshops

At DimensionAlley we’re really concerned with educating people about the new technology of 3D printing and how to use it. That includes children, which is why we have run workshops for children as young as 6, in groups of up to 12 students at a time for schools, but also run them on a private basis for individual children and groups.

Some of the things you might expect to do during a children’s workshop is to design and 3D print your own space ship, robot, keyring or jewellery. Learn out all about 3D printing and cool things you can do with it.

We also run an open Workshop on Friday afternoons from 15:00 – 18:00 for Kids. The introduction lesson is €25 and after that Workshops cost €20 contact us to sign up.

Business Workshops

In the past we have run 3D printing workshops specifically tailored to those wanting to explore more about the 3D printing industry. We are also looking into offering workshops in conjunction with corporate events and during conferences, so watch this space.
